Vortex Wars

I was shocked to discover the hatred been dished out towards guests. I've played as a guest a few times , just to see what the gossip is , as low levels rarely trust anything higher than lvl20.I was in a game ( i'll not shame there names ) when suddenly two of them started saying kill the f###ing guest, i had not said or done anything to provoke this out-burst of hate.As the game went on i learned that this was how they had been treated when they had been guests. Now these three players are all above lvl 20 , so how much hate have they spread into new comers of the game.We need new players as all games do but these players have got to know this game is an open game for all ages and sex.Its true what they say bullies only make a new breed of bullies.Also i do realize that some of the hatred comes about from second
account holders who ally with a guest , who is actually themselves.As Techgump and Lopdo have both said when creating a game make it no guests or don't join when guests are present.But people you have got to stop the hatred or its you who will pay when its you who will be permanently banned.

now I'm playing with "GUEST KILLER"
but sometimes guests are really annoying...

I don't have any problem with them personally, but I don't like it very much when high ranks play as guests and fool other people.

Lol, I however do understand that it is legal to do so, and I've even made a game out of it to spot the "imposters".

I play on 3 accounts and as a guest on many occations. I completely agree. I feel their pain as well, but I have grown stronger than that. If they want to prove their worth they should fight people like highlander and techgump, not meesly little guests with no boosts or bonuses! While I am typing this, I am a guest wupping some Lv. 14-23 who hate guests. It is funny as hell. Anyway, back to the subject at hand, I know there is no great way to stop this, but it will eventually where down. (Though so far I have only seen it increase in furrocity.) This is no way to get more guests to become members. We must make a stand, somehow.

That said, who has any ideas?

I love playing as guest, (It's fun to kill jerks as a guest )

I mostly play as guest, even though it is mostly guest only games, I love occasionally destroying jerks like that without any boosts or bonuses.

I just love my boosts and races too much to let go of them.

Also, I don't want to give up the XP and shards. Maybe when I'll get to level 54 (like techgump will, soon) I'll play as a guest, but that won't likely happen in another year or so

As for what Vortex Master said - I think it is the result of the game becoming a little less popular than its earlier days and more of a niche game, so almost everyone who plays it knows most of the usual players and dislikes new ones. It happened with Counter-Strike and many other older games in their time.

IMHO there are two types of "guest killers". Those who hate them and those who take advantage over guests weakness - they have no damn boosts so they're sitting ducks.

Also we should consider reasons of hatred against guests. Those are things that come to my mind when I see unregistred player:
1) He does not care about how he performs - he gets nothing anyway.
Because of that he can target me in a berserker mode without care of survival
2) He does not care about this game - "registration" takes just few seconds.
Because of that he can leave anytime when he gets bored drastically changing balance of power on the board.
3) He may not know how to play or plan his moves yet
Because of that he's unpredictable so you can't rely on him (as opponents opponent) and he can strike you a fatal blow while suiciding to third party.

About "no-guests" games
I'm never using this option because there still ARE some decent guests. I've myself convinced some of them to register. Also I'm hardly ever creating games myself. I prefer to enter almost-full lobby than wait fot 7 players to join.

Yet If I'm forced to start next to other player - I'll start right next to guest 'cause I can eliminate him fairly easy (no boosts). Also I'm trying not to borderize with guests for long time - either not expanding their way or killing them right away. Unpredictable evilness.

I find it really funny when I play as a guest, then some guy is just like "I'm going to take out this noob guest here," and then I destroy him.
