You still have v1.6 on the page where you let some people test it. That means unless you remove it, we could still play the old version ay time we want.

So instead of deleting the page, you just do that? Anyways, that's pretty much the only error message from VW I've remotely understood.

why should I delete it when I might need it again?

I don't know. But is changing the code on the page really much easier than recreating the page with new code?
