Ally Etiquette

Someone had a very stern talking to me during a recent game. Me and a smaller nstion teamed to break up a larger nation, then leaving only me and the smaller nation we faught. The one we killed together claimed we were bad ppl because we were once allies and now were fighting. Ive seen both sides of the coin, which do u think is right? Allys that draw at the end, or allys that fight it out once everyone else is destroyed, what is proper ally etiquette?????

personally i like the bloody solution but thats just me ;)

preferred etiquette is backstabing, but fighting it out in the end is cool too

I must disagree with lopdo here. I don't often ally, but once done, the only honourable end to an alliance is a draw. Backstabbing is totally out of the question, not only from a moral point of view, but also because a bad reputation kills in this game more surely than a heart attack. Once allied stay true to your word even if it costs you the game.

I really don't consider it backstabbing if you win the fight to finish it. That's just getting a winner, you didn't actually betray each other. Not that betraying each other during the alliance is bad, I support that.

I do consider you a bad person for making an alliance however.

I agree with Ratburntro44 and puma.

They're like jet engines- they suck and blow, yet are also unfairly powerful at the same time.

unfairly powerful at the same time

Especially when well ranked members do this.

Uh-oh, This might be awkward for me since I usually make treaties lol, but I don't see wats wrong with them if you state it to everyone else and kill each other at the end. What I really hate is battles when they have secret treaties and brag about ti at the end. This game is about strategy and just like risk, diplomacy is half the game meaning treaties are important.

Its just a thought and I would appreciate any feedback or disagreement you have with me.
