Dude, none of us here has a static IP, period.
"Period" in itself is used as emphasis to the point, and the point was wrong, period. There is nothing accurate or figuratively read about this statement from my POV.

Please can you all stop saying random things ? Are you all kinda stupid or really young? Restarting the cmd never reset any IP and will never do...
Jokern "thing to do with the cmd" are just hilarious.
Throwing out insult, saying it's random, and laughing at what Jokern provided (which CAN in fact be true depending on configuration and hence was not random or stupid at all), again provides no argument to your figurative claims. Especially for you, who is typically on point, considers context important, and is fast to correct another. You statements here are clearly far from figurative, so let's not butter it up now saying that they were. It was, IMO, something that should have been corrected so that Jokern, or others reading your comments, did not walk away assuming your statements correct. They aren't. It is probably true for the majority of cases today that they have dynamic IPs and are behind a router, but there are still plenty of people with static IPs, and plenty of people with direct WAN addresses on their PC.
now they are comforted in their (wrong) thoughts
Much like you are trying to comfort yourself in trying to claim you were only speaking figuratively?

It is ok to be wrong and be corrected Darkas. There is no reason to make this a big deal. We are all wrong from time to time. Shit happens. But is sure does suck when you've insulted others and laughed at them, just to be proven wrong. I feel your pain.
