I assume you have another account. Don't worry, they will just take this one out and you can make a new one if you need to, since it's only a level two or so now anyway.

as I understand it these are the rules that apply to names, and it says nothing of the sort.

Unfortunately, given Highlander's status in the game and on the forums, and how close your name is, it is seen as imitation of another user and will most likely be banned, especially given how new you are, so it will be taking a day at most of your time. And if you like the show that much, you could always just be Duncan or whatever.
