I'm not sure whether a one time experiment counts. In the past for instance, tonyy only got three days as his warning for trying it with threat of permaban next time. I think it would have to do with whether he admitted it or not. If we go by what he say, he had someone else playing the other account except for an experiment or two. I'm glad he admitted afterwards, but he probably should have alerted a mod beforehand and asked permission to test. Since it is technically a violation though, and he only mentioned it afterwards, I would support a short temporary ban (1-3 days) or a warning with a threat of it for next time.

I'm happy with a permanent ban. I broke the rules afterall. About 3 months ago I found out I could use 2 accounts on the same computer and I played one game using my account and 1 with a guest. Since then I've played 1v1 on full map modes with my brother like I said before, sometimes us both using guest accounts and sometimes me logging in if I could be bothered.

Ban me, no problem. But it's difficult - almost impossible? - to ban guests and to find out the name of my account?

I didn't mention it at first because I don't play this game much, I wasn't all that bothered if I could cheat or not. I had a spare few moments so thought I'd mention it on the forum.

I'm not demanding a perm-ban for you Hig meerly quoting game rules. You exploited a loop-hole that many off us have known from the begining , saying it out loud might tempt others to try it.But thats Lopdo's and the mods problem. If you escape a perm-ban( which i hope you do )i hope it make you a more respectable player to the game and a little wiser.

its very easy to get your second account or more. they come from the same ip...
this is a well know "bug" and MANY ave been banned for it. Don't do it, and report cheaters in the "report users" thread.

It shouldn't be an issue to ban guests if the ban originated from an actual account then just ban the IP, however that wont stop people if they really want to mess around.

Also, in this day and age if people want to, beyond playing in different browsers (theres a lot of them) they could just as easily play on multiple computers via desktop, netbook/notebook, you name it.

Really the only real hope of cheaters dying down from things like that is that eventually they will realize their wins and scores are hollow as they needed to stack the odds against others. personally, I think its hilarious when I run into cheaters and they still get their butts kicked.
