So, hypothetically, Lopdo is choosing a new mod.

If you had a choice in the matter, who would YOU elect as a mod and why?
I'll list the top recommended people on this thread, combine the descriptions given for them into one and then after approximately two weeks of discussion I will make a poll with the top recommended users as options. In that final poll we will see the communities feel on the issue and will hopefully have garnered enough information to submit to Lopdo in an official community request for one or more new mods.

If you are wondering why I am doing this, it is simple. I want new mods, and obviously they have to be from somebody in our community who is already familiar with the forum rules, the game rules, and how it all works. Furthermore, we NEED new mods, there have been several times on this forum where a mod was needed but was not available. I'm not talking about missing a day, but rather about not having any mods log in for more than a week; that is a problem that needs to be fixed. Our lack of proper modship is one element of the fading ember of Vortex Wars, I believe that with a fresh breath will help to relight the spark and feed it into a fire. We need more mods, and I believe most every member of our community, including the current mods themselves will agree. This is a good way to show Lopdo who WE think would make a good mod.

In my opinion, whoever got elected either by Lopdo's choice, or Lopdo's submission to public influence should make a new account and begin their mod rule from there so that they can be truly unbiased and not have to worry about altering the public's view of their main account.

I don't mind if you elect yourself, though I prefer for you to elect others.

Do I deserve to be a mod? Probably just as much as another of my forum generation, but that doesn't mean I'll back down from the opportunity. I believe in doing whatever the forum and game needs in order to help it grow and prosper, that is why I made this thread. If this results in ANYONE becoming a mod, my mission will have been successful. If I were made a mod I would focus on keeping the forums organised and encouraging the production of things that make the game grow; things such as our clan Council, Tournaments, and Welcoming New Players. I would buckle down and make sure that our new members receive the information they need to prosper in our community. My foremost goal though; would be to work with Lopdo in implementing a reward system for Tournaments, because it is my belief that this will bring in many people to the forums through that clans, which will help us all.

With luck we will continue to gather support until we have reached a conclusion as to who we would like to have as mods. Once this happens I will make a personal request to Lopdo and show him our findings.

Though I haven't been here relatively long compared to most of the other forum-ites, I'd think that *IF* Lopdo were to choose a new mod, then there'd need to be (at least) one for the forums and (at least) one for the game. I do think that they'd have to be relatively active, capable of being unbiased in situations that call for it (even if they clearly have an opinion on said matter, e.g. when dealing with friends vs. people they may not necessarily be the biggest fans of), and able to handle the responsibility without abusing it.

While I'm not going to nominate people publicly, I do think there are a couple people who come to mind who would make good *POTENTIAL* mods.

Lol, agreed, but I think he'd still be a good mod. He'd at least get things done quickly, with a few extra bans on the side because sitting still for even a minute hurts.
