i buyed the upgrade for 2000 shards, yet i still can only send out 20 units, but my friend can 30 and he has the same upgrade, no 4000 upgrade no insectoids.. can someone explain it to me??

Try logging out, and logging back in.

Also, make sure you are playing in games where bonuses are allow.

wait, so you can chose when upgrades race buffs or boosts are allowed? i didnt know that... i tried the logg off thingy, didnt work.. i changed ip and it worked out

There is a option in game creation to turn of bonuses.

Wait - so the "no upgrades" option in games disables the army stack upgrades as well as the new "boosts"?

Blimey - gonna be some angry people out there that paid real money for those upgrades which are now essentially worthless since pretty much *every* game has the no upgrades option.

Does the option also disable Race bonuses?

I think this kinda sucks - the shards I wasted on those army upgrades... *sob*

I appreciate balancing all the "pay to win sucks!" ppl vs "pay to win rules!" is hard, but I thought the shards were a good solution - now there are less and less reasons to pay/play enough to get shards to buy upgrades since you won't ever be able to use them

No matter for me, I am saving up shards for when my premium account runs out in late December.

no upgrades disables all upgrades, army stack upgrade, boosts and race bonuses as well. I am letting it be for a while to see how people react to it... if there is still way too many no upgrade games after few days I might remove "no upgrades" option

dont remove it, make categories, like only disable boosts only race buffs, only upgrades, only 2 picked or all
this way will be more variaty of games and everyone can turn off what he doesnt like ^^

make people pay for no upgrades

then they pay to prevent people from getting their money's worth... lol

I think the no upgrade thing sucks. Instead of making upgrades impossible, make the upgrades subtle, so they won't op the user. Like the race bonus, 5% defense is not much and normally won't make a big difference but it is still something worth buying.
