Ok, I'm having a problem connecting to the game. It gets me to the login page, but as soon as I hit enter after typing in my username and password, it just sits there saying "connecting..." for an eternity. and it doesn't load. I let it sit there all day and it didn't connect. I'd appreciate any help i can get, any suggestions appreciated. I already tried restarting my computer, and disconnecting/reconnecting my wifi

well i put it in general discussion because i figured it wasn't a bug in the game, and rather my computer, so i wanted some help. but it wasn't a problem with the game.
anyways, this problem is still persisting if anyone has suggestions. thanks.

Unfortunately, it appears that it is working for everyone else but you plus Lopdo seems absent (and he is the only one with the access to do anything about it), so I will speculate that the issue is limited to your computer.

The official answer is I don't know and I would try the following:

Try logging in as a guest and see if you can. If so, this might clear the issue - log out and then try your regular account.

Another option:

Go to Internet tools, Internet Options, then check:
Delete cookies and website data

AND
Delete Internet files and website files

Then Delete

Then restart your computer (although that may not be necessary)

If none of that works - have you tried logging in on another computer? After you log out there - then go back and try it on your computer

Try deep-frying your computer in a tub of hot oil. This, I find, is a very efficient way to 'fix' your computer.
Or you can do what Beatles said.

Thanks BF for your time. I did try all of those things, even logging out of my computer and signing in on another user thing (desktop computer) and none of it worked,
though i haven't tried it on another computer, which i imagine i wouldn't have a problem on. Unfortunately i only have 1 in my house. thanks for your help, and again if anyone
else has an Idea, its greatly appreciated.

I have multiple explanations but these are only deductions made by me from your oh so unspecific problem.

1) Your IP is being blocked by the game server. Try using a different one using
Method A (Unrecommended for unprofessionals) - Change your IP. As I am much too lazy to give you instructions on that just google it
Method B - Use another internet source, i.e. Your friend's house's Wi-Fi, school library, local dumpster.

2) Your computer sucks. Throw it off the roof.
Method A - Sometimes a computer disfunctions to the point where some sites are inaccessible or unusable. Formatting your computer usually fixes this but is not recommended especially if you're inexperienced with computers
Methob B - Go along with the original plan: Throw it off the roof.

3) Your Adobe Flash Player is out of date. Self-explanatory: Update.

4) Your internet is so terribly slow.

5) It is underfried. Go with Bluethorn's advice and deepfry it in hot oil.

well, it could be internet speed/ping not responding fast enough so it wont connect to the server
clean the computer disks,
run your computer threw a stress test and if it dosnt get what it should get (including a small decrease for age, and bigger decrease if its been overclocked)
if the results are decent, un and restall your browser and clean history, cache and what ever else that the browser has, eg cookies
if that fails, get a different site for vw
this should work, and if it dosnt, try chrome as a browser if you dont already
