While their is a limit to how much you can lose in one game, there isn't a limit on how much you can gain. Though it'd be unlikely to gain so much in a match, it is possible. How large was the match (XXL?), and what was your rating already at? Also, and I may be wrong on this, I believe rating gain is also determined by the ratings of all those you beat. In that case, if you beat 7 other people in a long XXL game that all had ratings over 1800, I'd say your gain is quite likely.

Getting into a game with 7 people who have +1800 isn't as likely, but It's bern quite a while so it's a bit too late to make a difference, thanks for the information though

Yup, that seems to be a very common rating bug, but the game should reset you after a while

Yeah, I was one win away from the leaderboards and got reset, but I still seem to have the bug as I just drew in a game and received 179 rating.
