Kicked for inactivity when active

Postby techgump » Sat Feb 16, 2013 8:40 am

I placed defense boosts for 3 turns in the middle of a game. Game did not recognize that placing defense boosts alone was "activity" and booted me. Got an error on my end, I think PlayerIO... but the players said it was the "idle" message for me being removed from the game.

Actually boost is not an activity. So it's not a bug. Lopdo didn't program it that way, tech. That's why you always should click end turn, or at least move. I know this is annoying but : wrong subforum, tech post this in feature request.

Well I still view it as a bug... since it says "idle" when the player is not idle. Yes, clicking end turn is nice, when you don't have lag and have time to do it. All three times I ran out of time placing my boosts, and didn't have time to click end turn.

I too thought this a bug - after all, the player did have activity by placing a shield- then I read on the main forum page - Announcements - Vortex Wars 0.4

While not truly a definition, I read lopdo's post as clarifying that for auto kick - activity is attack and/or clicking end turn. It may not truly be a bug.
In Vortex Wars: 50% of the game is luck. 50% is skill. The other 50% is math.
