Huge rating increase
Posted: Wed Nov 07, 2012 10:03 pmI find in playing the game that I have recieved a rather large rating increase. While it is not anything sky high, I still doubt that this is normal for small, 8-region maps.

Posted: Thu Nov 15, 2012 11:21 amIf I'm right, there is a big difference between Ranking and other 'rewards' (XP and shards). Indeed, Ranking is NOT related to map size, unlike others, not even to game length (number of turns). It is only controlled by the Ranking of other players in that game, and by who you did beat (has been killed before you) and who survived longer that you. Ranking reward is just highest when you win against many players with much higher rank than yours...
The same goes for the other way, so you can understand why highly ranked players don't want low-R players in their game: if they get very unlucky and die first, losing more than 100 R in a single game is quite common...

It depends on the other people
if your rating is 0000
and there's is 9999 x the other 6 people playing
then you will get allot of rating in the end if you win or get close.
I wish I was in your shoes, I never seen a rating increase over 6 in a game.
