I play Demons and Vampires, and I find it very disturbing that someone playing with Elves race can easily take out someone playing the Vampire race, or even Defend as well against Vampires/Demons. Also I dont think you have properly given the boosted amount seeing how Elves or any generic race can easily win a outcome with either race.

I was just in a game where i was vampires, and my opponent was a generic race, and i had 52 tiles to his 30...i had 8's on my borders and he still plowed through them like they were 2's. changes need to be made.

That's happened to me too many times. I had 8 Angels on one part and 5 Elves took it over easily, about 2-3 times in the same game.

I agree. Bonuses are only in play in certain circumstances. Also, I have seen a 4 attacking an 8 and win. It was elves against vampires, who happen to have a bonus for defense too. It is all about luck.

If it was all about luck, some people wouldn't be able to win 55-60% of their game in 8 players XXL maps...

A 5% boost means that you're only going to come out better than average 1 in 20 times. So yeah, you likely had 1 or 2 slightly better than normal results in there.

Also, were you playing HC? That really throws things wonky in calculation land.
