Vortex Warriors Clan Election Thread

Elections are held every 3 months for Clan Leader and Co-Leader

RULES: For those interested here are the complete rules:
Section 5 – Clan Leader Election Rules:

5A Clan Leader is an elected position after the initial setup (BeatlesFan is the First Clan Leader).
5B The Clan Leader serves a three month term as follows:
• January 1 to March 31 (Voting takes place December 1 to December 15)
• April 1 to June 30 (Voting takes place March 1 to March 15)
• July 1 to September 30 (Voting takes place June 1 to June 15)
• October 1 to December 31 (Voting takes place September 1 to September 15)
5C ALL Senate Members that have no other clan affiliation are automatically candidates for the Clan Leader position during an election cycle.
5D Senate Members with another clan affiliation (multi-clan) are not eligible to run for the position of Clan Leader (This is determined as of the first day of the voting period. If a Senate Member with another clan affiliation (multi-clan) wishes to run in the election they must quit the other clan by the first day of the voting period).
5E ALL Clan Members except Recruits each have TWO votes to cast (Recruits cannot vote). Members will vote for their choice of Clan Leader and Co-Leader. Their vote will be weighted as follows: Your vote for Clan Leader is worth 5 points when cast and your vote for Co-Leader is worth 3 points when cast. The election will take place on a thread for that election and votes are public.
5F TIES: In the event of a tie, if the then current Clan Leader is tied for the lead – they remain the Clan Leader. Only if there is a tie – If the current Clan Leader is not tied for first, then there is a three day runoff election with just the tied members as candidates. If a tie remains after the second round, then the current Clan Leader will select between the two tied candidates.
5G Clan Co-Leader Position: The Clan Co-Leader is the candidate receiving second place in the voting. In the event of a tie for second place – the new Clan Leader will designate the Co-Leader from the tied candidates for second place. This begins with the second Co-Leader. The first Co-Leader is to be designated by BeatlesFan during this cycle.
5H Clan Forum Page: The Clan Forum Page will be “owned” by the current Clan Leader. After any election (or other event) where there is a new Clan Leader – A new clan page will be “opened” by the new Clan Leader. Only this first post is to be copied exactly, and a new thread begins. A request will then be made to have the old thread locked.
5I: First Election will be held during the June 1 to June 15, 2014 time frame (for the term that starts on July 1, 2014).

CANDIDATES: Every member of the Senate on June 1, 2014 that are ONLY in VWC are candidates for Clan Leader/Co-Leader. The candidate with the highest point total will be the clan leader and the second highest will be the Co-Leader for the upcoming three month term (July 1 to September 30).

WHO CAN VOTE: Every member, except recruits, of VWC on June 1 will be able to cast TWO votes. You will need to be clear about your ONE vote for Clan Leader and ONE vote for Co-Leader.
Your ONE vote for Clan Leader is worth 5 points.
Your ONE vote for Co-Leader is worth 3 points.

Note: It is possible that since the Co-Leader vote is worth 3 points - everyone's second choice could become the Clan Leader! - It is all based on who has the 1st and 2nd most points at the end of the election.

Although votes will not count until June 1st - Anyone, especially a VWC member, is encouraged to post to this thread.

Any candidate that would like to make a statement (you are not required to) is welcome to say anything that they wish.

It's like that time when we were voting for class president, except I was sick that day and then he got assassinated anyway.

Okay. I'm going to be honest. I actually wasn't sick. I voted for that guy, and he won, and then he died. The next year, I voted for someone else, who didn't win, but they still died. Do you see now? I have to vote FM!

Don't hold me to that, I can't make decisions.

I just noticed that everyone in the Senate is either a current or former member of WC. Makes me so proud to see everyone spreading their wings, just to come back together. :lol:

I wish the best of luck to the candidates, especially the two that I will be voting for.

I am just kidding, you are all excellent choices, and I am having a hard time deciding who I will vote for.
