Not to imply that I want to have a clan, though I might, but what EXACTLY do these clans DO? Because I see a lot of defunct stuff and a few big ones.
And then, which ones are the best? Even if I am not joining, I'm sure that a comprehensive manual and list would be helpful.

I am personally biased towards WolfPack. But I suppose it depends on what you like. A small clan can be a good choice too. WolfPack is welcoming but you would have to meet us on game first.
