Doesn't that mean that a large amount of members could come from other clans and their only purpose would be to vote for the LEAST qualified person in hopes of sabotaging it?

Senators can be in other clans. Two of them are multi-clan and a third one was also multi-clan before he left the other clan.
There are only two members of VWC that cannot be multi-clan: The Clan Leader and Co-Leader. That is to ensure they have only this clan's interests when they vote on the council or represent us.
I trust every clan member to act in their own and therefore the clan's interest when voting - so if they want new leaders they will get those they want to represent them.
I like this setup and for me it "solves the multi-clan problem". I am not worried about "sabotage." I hope that I have earned their trust too and would like to be reelected, but they will decide what happens.
Maybe my goal should be to surpass Guest in level.
